Nayla is the custodian of the Vault of Powers. She debuted in Issue 075: You're Back to Who You Used to Be, the 1st issue of Arc 7: New Power.
Appearance[]
Nayla seems to be a special member of Kandrakar's council and wears an ornate robe and has black curly hair. She looks old and is gigantic.
Plot[]
She was isolated from the rest of the congregation because of her duty as the custodian of the Shrine of Powers. It is indicated that Nayla still follows the age old rules of Kandrakar which is why she was seen contradicting the Oracle's order to free the elemental powers of the mystical fortress.[1]
When the Oracle attempted to release the elements in their pure form she tried to stop him but he refused and released them without warning the Guardians.[1]
Vault of Powers[]
The Shrine of Powers is a sacred place in Kandrakar that only Nayla (the custodian) and the Oracle can enter. In it lies the powers of Kandrakar, in their purest and most powerful form. The Oracle freed these powers to be used by the girls to protect Kandrakar from the outer threats. These powers enabled the W.I.T.C.H. girls to battle their opponents in their most powerful form and these causes them to have new transformation.[1]
